The football league was inaugurated at the end of the nineteenth century thus formulating a substantial set of rules and regulations. Many of these are what have shaped the game today. It is arguably the most lucrative sport or 'business' we've seen. With top players being offered wages up to £200,000 per week, our pressure to develop top class systems increases. We have a huge range of products and construction techniques not only suitable for top clubs and professionals but also importantly training pitches and 5-a-side football areas for the developing or recreational player. Both our natural and synthetic pitches are designed with the vision that our surfaces are appropriate for every level, age and budget. There are advanced natural and artificial systems that are dedicated to soccer. The newest generation of artificial surface closely replicates a natural turf system with improved playability, comfort and safety. The surface is far less abrasive than its predecessors and is even considered as an acceptable rugby training surface. The dedicated natural turf fields have various construction techniques; fibre reinforcement, suspended water tables, sand carpets, slit and piped drainage. Pitches for extensive use should have a higher concentration of drainage and engineered materials incorporated within their construction. The most unique system to date incorporates both natural and synthetic fibres therefore reaping the benefits of both materials. Whilst the natural grass is rooted firmly in the ground providing excellent grip and softening for joints, millions of artificial fibres are introduced to the field. The result being a smooth, stable surface on which the players can maximise their technical skills and ball control, a surface that may be played on in succession for training and matches with minimal wear, a surface that recovers quickly, does not flood and goes someway to allaying the fears of any synthetic sceptics. |
